Celebrating Poppie's birthday

Trying to get all the grandkids (plus the grandparents) looking at the camera is a big challenge. But I thought these pictures turned out pretty cute--enjoy Grandma and Poppie!!!

the purple girls

Well...i used to laugh and sometimes complain about the pictures of me and my sister Beth dressed alike but now I completely understand why my mom did that and yes, I can't wait to take a million pictures of the girls in matching outfits. Sydney says they are the "purple girls".

I really should be writing down some of the things that Sydney says cause she cracks us up. Whether it is saying "nice to meet you" to her immediate family, singing "On Top of Spaghetti", picking up her new stationary and saying "I love it, a present for me...how wonderful" she sure knows how to make us laugh.

December Fun

Gym class for Sydney is always a good time...she now practically runs the class (one of the other mom's said Sydney is like the "class president". she sings all the songs and is the first one to participate in all the activities.

Olivia and Sydney love the hats that Nanny knitted for them and other random pictures:

Decorating gingerbread houses sure is fun! (Almost) looks good enough to eat.

Silly Sydney pictures including dress up as a Princess, trying on barettes and more

Special times with our friends Joy & Jade

Sydney giving her friend Jade a big hug : )

Here are some cute pictures from Christmas Eve (Chinese food dinner!!!)...don't know why I didn't get more pictures of the dinner and festivities but thought these few were cute enough to share:

Cookie decorating with Joy and Jade...it was a lot of fun (minus the meltdown by Sydney when she couldn't pour the sprinkles herself--giving a 2 year old a container with a billion little sprinkles just wasn't going to happen!)

Happy New Year!!! + 2 months (almost!!!)

What a wonderful year 2010 has been...looking back, there are just too many things that have happened I wouldn't even know where to begin. We are so blessed to have 2 beautiful little girls who have brought so much joy and happiness to our lives. We look forward to seeing what 2011 will be like and sharing it with all of you.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Wishing happiness, strength and joy to everyone!!!

Best wishes to all,
Jill, Jason, Sydney and Olivia

Here are a couple of new pictures of Olivia who is just about 2 months old plus pictures of her with friend Kenzy (just one day older!). They had a fun playdate and were so cute together plus with their big sisters!

Growing girls

My panda pals...Sydney and Olivia embrace my love of panda bears

Trying to get the girls together in one picture is proving to be very challenging. I'll keep working on it but love these two:

I've pulled out all of Sydney's old toys and Sydney has rediscovered the bumbo seat. Olivia is not quite ready for it yet but I thought it was neat to see the difference in their sizes.

Dreidel song

Its so hard to capture Sydney on video. Whether she is singing the Shema or On Top of Spaghetti, I never manage to have the camera ready and when I do it doesn't turn out. But I got this quick version of the dreidel song the last night of Hanukkah and could not resist posting this.

Hanukkah Happenings

Sydney is loving Hanukkah. Here she is showing off her new slippers and having fun unwrapping presents for her sister.

Sydney loves school and this week was especially fun celebrating Hanukkah. Sydney and her friend Hanna had fun lighting the menorah and Sydney is doing a great job learning new songs and prayers (in the second picture she is covering her eyes and singing the Shema--i'm gonna try and get that recorded but wasn't fast enough this week).

Happy Hanukkah & 1 month old!

Time sure is flying and Olivia is ONE month old! She is such a good baby and is actually letting me get some sleep. We've been really busy and having a little one has not slowed us down. Jason and I have been so grateful for all the help and support and overall the past few weeks have been delightful. Sydney showers her sister with kisses and everyone is happy and healthy.

Hanukkah began last night and there was lots of celebrating. Potato latkes, presents, lighting the menorah, singing and dreidels! Sydney loves the holidays and Nanny was able to celebrate with us this year since she is here helping out with the girls.

Happy Hanukkah to all our family and friends who are celebrating!
