Happy Hanukkah!

Happy Hanukkah 2009!

To celebrate the first night of Hanukkah my friend Izzy came over with her mom and dad and we all had dinner. We lit the menorah and got presents. Mommy even cooked (yup--it's true--she wanted to use the new double oven in our kitchen) a real Shabbat dinner with challah and everything! I had fun playing with Izzy and don't we look cute in our pajamas?!

I love my new "Sydney" chair and all the fun new toys. Thank you for all the great gifts everyone : )

Lighting the candles with the folks...

and just wanted to share a cute picture of me wearing a sweater and hat by my nanny and GiGi.

First snow

Guess what--today we had our first real snow of the year. Last year we barely had any snow so this is my first official snowfall. It was so beautiful--we stayed home and watch it all day long. Mommy and daddy got me all dressed up in layers and we went outside for a little bit. Time to go shopping and get the snowsuit and boots they've been talking about! It sure was slippery and cold but I had fun playing outside! Can't wait for more!!!

Hanging out at Little Gym

This video was just too funny--had to be shared. Sydney has been walking for a few weeks now but in this dress couldn't figure out how to get up without stepping on the dress. So she just created her own way of getting around and proceeded to do this all afternoon around the gym for the enjoyment of all staff and me : ) Sydney did enjoy some playtime with her friend Hanna. Too bad daddy wasn't around to do another demonstration of the hula hoop (unfortunately I do not have video of Jason doing the hula--I know we ALL would have enjoyed seeing that!!!)

November Birthdays

Special shout-out to my Cousin Lindsay who celebrated her First Birthday which just happened to fall on my 13 month birthday : ) So glad we got to celebrate with her!
November is a busy month for birthdays. Happy Birthday to Grandma and Aunt Beth!
And my parents just couldn't resist posting this picture, too.

...Silly Sydney eating breakfast at the diner...this is definitely our child--stuffing her face (literally)!!!

Going Amish

During our trip to Allentown we stopped off in Lancaster, PA along the drive. Mommy and Daddy took me on a horse and buggy ride and we visited an Amish farm. I've only read about farms, animals like cows and horses and tractors in books. I really enjoyed this outing but mom and dad think its a good thing I was born in suburbia--more my style...what would we do without internet, cheesecake factory, cell phones, etc...
lots more pictures and updates to come!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

We finally got our internet fixed! That means mommy can upload some pictures and update the blog. I keep her pretty busy but I'm sure this blog will have new messages every once in awhile.
The updates may not be in any particular order as my mom posts some fun pictures of me. We went to Allentown, PA for Thanksgiving and got to be with a lot of my family. Enjoy the pictures!

Pictures: Sydney with both sets of Grandparents, Aunt Beth & Cousin Lindsay, scrounging for food under the table, being thankful for my family and playing the piano

Hanging out in Allentown--I love traveling (my parents gave me no option--they said I better like to travel). Good thing they bring along some fun toys for me to play with. Here I am driving down the hallway on my great Mickey toy (I like to dance to the music and climb all over it) plus hanging out with daddy in our room.

During the weekend we also had Shabbat dinner at Great Uncle Neil and Aunt Lisa's house. I got to see my Great-Grandma Juliet and enjoyed a yummy dinner.

There's a new place in downtown Bethesda just for kids called the Be With Me Playseum with LOTS to do. There are many different themed rooms with so many activities, toys and learning opportunities. I look forward to hanging out here and hopefully meeting up with some of my friends.

And of course, it is fun to go shopping with my Nanny and Grandpa!!! I love the freedom of not using my stroller but these stores better watch out. I love to shop! I had a very wonderful holiday and am so thankful for my family and friends. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving too!
