9 month antics

HI! It's me again. I've been VERY busy but wanted to share a few pictures. Here I am hanging in my room "reading" my mommy's entertainment magazine. I prefer to look at one page at a time and rip the pages to shreds...guess this is why all my books are board books. I have a lot of toys but lately I choose to play with paper, shoes and remote controls...

I went to this fun place last week called Interactions Learn and Play where they have a lot of fun toys. I especially liked the balls, riding toys and this one where I could look at myself in the mirror and even gave myself some kisses!

Saturday we had a family outing to Sugarloaf Winery with my playgroup friends. I had a great time (so did my parents)!!!

And guess what?!?! After weeks and weeks of scooting around on my back and moving around the room I decided to do the forward crawl! I won't do it for the video camera yet but at least I did it for mommy and daddy. They were so proud : ) I can also get myself into a sitting position and thats what I do most of the time...even in my crib! Pretty soon I'll be going for the stairs.....watch out mommy & daddy!!!!!

my mommy and daddy are SO crazy. they do like to plan ahead and apparently something big is happening in 2021...i haven't even started talking yet but they are already thinking about things to come.

Guess this is going to keep my parents up at night...time sure does seem to go by fast and 2021 will be here before you know it! : )

9 months old-officially!

Can you believe it?! I am 9 months (and a few days) old!!! Summer is here and I am enjoying everything! I went to the Doctor yesterday and am exactly 17 pounds. We've been very busy and have lots of travel plans coming up. I talk ALL the time but mommy and daddy don't know what I am saying yet.
My parents keep feeding me new food...and its not all pureed anymore. But I still make mommy and daddy feed me (i do like to pick up my cheerios, puffs, fruit but won't actually put it in my mouth). I love cottage cheese and yogurt (see picture below) and eat more vegetables than my parents.

I am busy moving all around...not in the traditional manner...but i am doing everything on my own terms--i crawl upside down pushing my legs and reaching, scooting and flopping around but mom thinks i'll officially crawl any day now since I do get up on all fours (i like to make her crazy doing things differently). Long time no update...

Been a long time since we updated this...mommy promises to download more pictures. Tomorrow I am 9 MONTHS OLD!!! I'm very busy doing lots of talking and moving all over the place. Mommy and daddy better get the house Sydney proofed!! Or else....

We've been so busy between our trip to Norfolk/Virginia Beach and lots of fun activities at home. Plus we are going to California at the end of the month (do YOU know the way to San Jose?!) and then on a cruise at the end of the summer! Here are just a couple of recent pictures from a trip to the National Zoo yesterday:

Happy Father's Day!!!

Father's Day Weekend! We did lots of celebrating and Friday night we went to "The Club" (daddy's golf club that he loves). I had a great time and wanted to get the weekend started right. Then we did some cleaning before Nanny and Grandpa came to visit. Daddy had a hard time trying to figure out the vacuum...

I gave daddy the best present ever! I said DADA for the first time on Father's Day (and had lots of witnesses)--I started talking lots during lunch at Avenel with Grandma, Poppie, Nanny, Grandpa and Granny. Daddy liked my special outfit that says "I've got Daddy wrapped around my little finger". So true, so true. Here I am with Daddy, Grandpa and Poppie.

Daddy took Granny and Mommy for a ride on the golf cart for a tour of the back nine. I can't wait until I am older so I can ride on the golf cart with daddy. I wonder when daddy will let me drive??!! I gotta work on talking more...but like the shirt says: I've got daddy wrapped around my little finger so watch out!

Check out the new shades!!! I'm just one cool chick! Now that the weather is FINALLY nice I'm ready for the sun. I even went to the neighborhood pool-i love to swim.

Mommy said it was time to start drinking the bottle by myself but I didn't want to listen. I decided on father's day to give it a try. It sure is better when someone else feeds me. Stay turned for some more new things. Mommy thinks I'm close to crawling...I do move around a little...Hope everyone had a happy Father's Day!

Chicago, part 2

"Chicago is my kind of town!"

Downtown Chicago has lots to see and do. These pictures are from the Millenium Park...check out the picture of mommy taking a picture which is being reflected in the "bean".

My first trip to the beach! I LOVED playing in the sand. We went to Oak Street Beach near Michigan Avenue and I even put my foot in Lake Michigan.

Monday: first a visit to Children's Memorial Hospital where mommy used to work, then a visit to the zoo (yup-that's me sleeping in my stroller while daddy pushes me through the zoo) and then it was back to the airport. We had a great trip!!! Can't wait until our next vacation!

Weekend away-Pictures from Chicago! (part 1)

I am 8 months old!!! Mommy took these pictures of me before we left...










...and I love to read books so at Border's I took all the books off the shelf. mom & dad thought it was pretty funny so they took this picture of me.

Then it was time for our Family vacation! We went to Chicago for a long weekend away and had a great time. Mommy used to live in Chicago before she met daddy and we went to all her favorite places.

Friday: I did great on the plane ride and then it was time for Chicago pizza (not for me...but mom and dad thought it was delicious!)

Saturday: breakfast with friends, Chicago History Museum, Shedd Aquarium and Michigan Avenue shopping! Plus dinner at Grand Lux Cafe and Garrett's popcorn-yum!!!

Sunday: Navy Pier, walking through all of lakeview/wrigleyville/downtown. We rode the ferris wheel and the carousel, did lots of walking and had lots of fun. We also went to the beachfront of Lake Michigan. More pictures to follow:
