I'm a Big Kid Now!

Potty Training Boot camp! 2 years and 10 months...it was time. Sydney is now day+3 and doing extremely well with using the potty. We had a special party where we said bye-bye to the diapers and after a rocky start, she has been a superstar! Wasn't quite sure what was going to happen but Sydney has successfully been using the potty all by herself with very little reminders (both number 1 & number2!!!--Motivation: red tic-tacs and nemo fruit snacks respectively). Fingers are crossed that we will continue to be successful now that we have ventured into diaper-free territory. Now if we could just get Olivia to crawl...

Home Depot

What a fun way to spend a Saturday morning...Sydney, Zach and Lindsay made some pencil boxes (with a little help from mom and Aunt Beth) complete with certificate, pin and apron from Home Depot! Check out their hand-i-work (took several hand scrubbings to get all that paint off!)

Atlanta with the Woods

A visit to Atlanta wouldn't be complete without a visit to the World of Coke. Worked out perfectly as Sydney napped throughout the entire museum so Jason and I got to enjoy all the exhibits.

But the best part of our trip to Atlanta was the time spent with Sally, Scott, Izzy and Charlie.

Sydney and Izzy had picnics, went swimming, played with toys and so much more.

Visiting Izzy's Granny & Happy's house was like visiting a museum--they even had this big cow for the girls to sit on and a tunnel to get into the house with windows to see the limestone/granite below the house--how cool! Sydney still talks about the gnomes in Granny & Happy's house! We can't wait to go back!

visiting the Wood family in Atlanta!!!

The Atlanta Aquarium was fantastic! So many wonderful exhibits, musical dolphin show and great company! Sydney loved hanging out with her BFF Izzy (and I was so happy spending time with Sally!) and Olivia got to spend time with Charlie!

Love the picture of the girls flashing the fish--
whose idea WAS it to flash the fish...better fess up-it was Sydney! There were so many fantastic fish and the girls were mesmorized by them--looking forward to going back there during our next trip to see the Woods!

We were so thrilled that we could visit Sally, Scott, Izzy and Charlie as they are now settled in their new home in Atlanta. Charlie's baptism was very enjoyable--highlights were Izzy's excitement over seeing Sydney enter the church which was probably heard by the whole congregation and Sally telling me on the videotape of the baptism she could hear Sydney asking "what are they doing to Charlie?!" over and over. It was a great weekend with great friends!

more July pictures

The month ended on a high note with a visit to Atlanta. We got to visit with Jason and Brandi--friends who we have not seen since our wedding 5 years ago! They joined us for a fun visit to the kids museum, dinner and a stroll through millenium park (picture of Jason and Sydney spinning through the park)

Here is the latest picture of Olivia and her friend Kenzy...they are so cute when they are together!

And had to post a cute one of Sydney at a soccer birthday party which was so adorable and so much fun! Can't say that Sydney was the most coordinated but she did very well and had a great time!

And last but not least, had to include this picture of Olivia and Sydney with their cousins Lindsay and Zach. Just too precious for words...

Tonya Pictures!!! (7 month photo shoot)

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these pictures of the girls from our last photo session. Good thing we signed up for the whole newborn package cause I'm obsessed and wish we could do monthly pictures of the girls.

This one is one of my all time favorite pictures. And between the snow white Sydney & Olivia in the cereal bowl, i am sure we are going to run out of space on our walls at home!

Its amazing how much the girls have changed and grown over the past several months and I want to capture every moment. The moments like these are just precious and i hope it always stays like this (although i know it wont) so i am enjoying every minute!
