Sept 2012 in review

We spent Labor Day weekend at one of Daddy's favorite places: UVA! The girls loved dressing up at Wahoo Cheerleaders and we always have a great time with Nanny and Papa in Charlottesville. Its been a yearly tradition to make this trip and we enjoy our time at Bounce-N-Play, the football game and visiting Daddy's college town.
The 22 month photo op...Olivia is talking more and more and becoming real independent.  Time is going by way too fast...
The first day of school picture...can't believe how grown up she is getting.  This is her 3rd year at B'nai Tzedek preschool. Sydney is in the Panda class and loves going to school. I could spend hours just posting pictures and talking about school.  It certainly is fun to document how much she has grown from year to year...
Hard to believe by Olivia also started school this year.  She is in the "transitional 2's" class and I go with her from september until december.  I had the opportunity to do this with Sydney as well since both girls have fall birthdays and for our school system, they can not start kindergarten until they are 5 (almost 6) so they get this extra year of preschool. its the only time i'll ever get to go with them and i love seeing how much they grow and change over the school year.  And if possible, i think Olivia loves school as much, if not more, than Sydney!
Celebrated my 35th...ok--my 38th birthday...
Rosh Hashana...Happy Jewish New Year!
Sydney and Olivia with Grandma and Poppie at Rosh Hashana
My cool girls...i love taking pictures of them and capturing their silly sides and the sisterly bond!
Cute Sydney picture : )

I love taking the girls to Homestead Farms...whether it is apple picking, blueberries, strawberries or pumpkins, we always have a good time.

All of these pictures and many more were posted on my facebook page but for the purposes of the blog book, this is a pretty good representation of our month of September.

Gotta figure out a better way to go through and maintain my pictures as I take many, many photos each and every month.  I don't want to miss a moment yet time goes by too fast so I  look back on these memories as often as possible. I know how fragile life is and before i know it, the girls will be grown.

I'm seeing a better relationship forming between the girls as Olivia is talking more and more and they are actually playing together.  The best gift we ever gave Sydney was to give her a sister and I am so grateful they have each other to play with, to laugh with and to grow old with.  I especially cherish the relationship I have with my sister and hope that these girls know and appreciate that they have each other and will always be close.

Happy New Year 2013

Happy New Year 2013!!! Can't believe that it is officially another year. It has been several months since my last blog entry...and I admit I miss posting pictures and updates.  Since reaching my maximum amount of postings, I have been unable to add anything new to the blog but didn't want to leave the story unfinished...
I've been copying and pasting the blog and have printed out the last couple of years to save for Sydney and Olivia when they are older.  And I didn't want to leave their 2012 without including some recent pictures and updates.  So these pictures were taken back in October and included on our holiday card but wanted to share them with you now...

I'm going to try and delete some earlier posting to make room for pictures from Sydney's 4th birthday, Olivia's 2nd birthday and highlights of the past couple of months.  Mainly to complete the "blog books" for the girls AND to finally conclude the Sydney/Olivia blog page. I've really enjoyed doing this over the past 4 years (!!!) and hope that my girls one day will look back on this and not only appreciate all the time and energy that went into posting this, but also the amazing opportunities they've had, wonderful places they've gone, fantastic people they've met and know that they are loved to infinity and beyond.

MAXIMUM REACHED

OK--guess there is such a thing as too many pictures.  I tried to download more Disneyland pictures and was told I've reached the maximum amount of pictures I can post to the blog.  I had hoped to continue this until the girls birthdays this fall or the end of the year. So I've been copying/pasting/printing the blog to save for the girls when they get older and will soon go through and either delete some listings/photos so i can continue this a little longer for the family and friends that follow.

I've really enjoyed doing this and hope that Sydney and Olivia one day will appreciate all of this. I treasure each and every moment and love that i have the documentation for all these wonderful life events.  Especially on tiresome days, I look back on the past several years and still can not believe this is my life, these 2 amazing little girls belong to me and have brought so much joy and happiness to my life.  Thanks for being a part of our lives.

At long last--Disneyland pictures!

It's a Small World is one of my all time absolute favorite rides and here at Disneyland they renovated it and made it even cooler than it was before.  Love this!

Meeting Merida of the new movie Brave was so cool--and the girls got to practice archery shots and everything.

We all couldn't wait to meet Rapunzel and Flynn Rider.  Sydney was telling them all about her birthday party (yup-it's gonna be a princess theme, go figure?!?!)
I couldn't resist posting this one...not sure why olivia looked so sad at first (check out the lower lip action--she's never done that before!) but we all enjoyed our time with Rapunzel.

Disneyland's castle is much smaller than Disney World but a castle is a castle and still very, very cool!

Winnie the Pooh is one of our favorite rides and we had to wait to meet Tigger and Pooh--but it was worth it.  (Don't worry, we did get to see Pooh Bear himself the next day).

Goofy's Kitchen

 downtown Disney

Goofy's kitchen with Robyn, Steve and Alexandra...and chef Goofy!  What a fun evening with some of our favorite Disney friends!

Minnie, Goofy, Chip-n-Dale, Princess Aurora and Alice in Wonderland--what a nice treat!  And the dinner (plus dessert) was delicious!

last part of CA vaca before Disneyland photos

Are you ready for the Disneyland photos??!!  Couldn't resist posting these few cute pictures from our visit to Pretend City in Irvine, California.  After a wonderful morning visiting friends Emily, Robbie, Sydney & Eli for brunch, we went to this fun kids museum for some playtime.

Robyn, Steve and their daughter Alexandra joined us for Pretend City and then an evening at Goofy's Kitchen. The girls had fun dancing and singing on the stage--Sydney of course was in a Princess dress...
