Americas Next Top Model

In addition to the 800+ pictures that are being saved on our Disney PhotoPass, and the thousands of pictures I have taken over the past 5 1/2 months, I am now adding these professional pictures of Sydney taken just a couple weeks ago to the collection. One of my favorite stores is "Janie and Jack"--a children's clothing store at Montgomery Mall. They had a promotion where you get a free 8x10 done by a professional photographer with a purchase. So of course, I have sucker written all over me and how could I choose just one photo?!?!! I am now the proud owner of digital file with several fun pics including these below. Sydney loved having her picture taken

Sydney's First "Meal"

Rice cereal time! Sydney is now 5 1/2 months old and we are ready to introduce her to the world of food. Jason and I gave Sydney her first tasting of rice cereal this morning and as expected she wasn't too crazy about it. Hard to believe that we are already at this milestone and will soon transition to oatmeal, vegetables, fruits and then meats. We joke that Jason and I need to start over again with the vegetables : )
This is her first time in the highchair and she is ready to go!!!
"What is this stuff that mommy and daddy are trying to feed me? I was doing just fine with milk..."
"Wait...am I supposed to get this stuff inside my mouth?!"
"OK...I've had enough. Are we done yet?"
All done!!!
That wasn't so bad. Sydney is just taking it easy in her highchair after our somewhat successful first feeding attempt. We are going to try again tomorrow!

5 month pictures

Guess what?!  I am 5 months old already!!!  My new trick is blowing raspberries which makes mommy laugh every time.  And I am working on sitting up although I prefer to stand.  I also love to play with my feet : ) and am starting to roll over again (I did this a couple of months ago then stopped for awhile)

Here I am just hanging out with my cousin Lindsay.  We have so much to learn from each other and I think she is finally going to start listening to me and sleep through the night.  I've been doing it for awhile and it makes mommy and daddy very happy.

We took a road trip to Norfolk, VA to meet many relatives and friends.  This Ernie used to belong to daddy but he agreed to share him  with me.  Mommy didn't get to take too many pictures but hopefully will be able to share some from Aunt Judy and Cousin Mandy.  It was so nice to meet everyone and I know Nanny and Grandpa loved playing with me.  We also got to celebrate daddy's birthday.  Happy Birthday Daddy!!!

My mommy is crazy (about me!!!).  She bought a nice dress at Janie and Jack for me to wear to a wedding next week and we are going to get a free 8x10 picture from a professional photographer.  So I had a photo session at the store and mommy snuck in a couple of pictures.  I think she is going to have to buy the entire roll since she says I looked super cute in ALL the pictures and she won't be able to decide on just one.  Mommy says we need more wall space for all these pictures of me!!!!

Cuse is in the house!

Our little Orangegirl is going to cheer on her favorite team in the NCAA tournament (sorry--no Wahoos this year)

We promise to post more pictures later...but had to get this one in on time.

Go Syracuse!!!

working with daddy

Daddy is on his way to work in his new car....just kidding--its his rental car (sunshine yellow!) and we just had to take a picture for the blog (sorry Jason--Sydney made me do it!)

We went to visit daddy at work and I got to type on the computer and use his headset.  When are they going to hire me?!  I've got this all figured out!

Guess I'll stick to playing...it's what I do best.  I've got a new jumperoo and it sure is cool.  My latest trick is to make funny noises with my mouth.  I sure know how to make my mom and dad laugh : )

21 weeks

March 10th--21 weeks old!  Just wanted to share a few fun photos and highlights from the past week since I returned from Florida:
Hanging out with Grandma and Poppie-- i had to tell them all about my trip and show them some pictures.

Mommy and I keep very busy with lots of different activities and one of the things we did this winter was a group called "Onesies" with Cousin Lindsay and Aunt Beth. Each week we got to try out various activities in the area-and this week was a special session at Kidville.  I loved playing with my new friends at Kidville and hope to take classes there sometime soon.

One of my favorite things is playgroup on Mondays.  Mommy needs to learn how to use the camera properly or get a better camera--but here we are at my friend Sutton's house.
Check out the picture of the boys--Sutton and Jack (sportin cool sunglasses!)

We stopped by Great Beginnings and for old times sake, mommy put me on the scale.  I weighed in at 13 pounds 10 ounces.  Its probably a little off but I am getting bigger every day.  In this picture I am testing out a new bath seat and I liked it a lot so mommy took a picture of me in it.

Mommy's crazy signs are back...since i am officially 21 weeks old, mom took a couple of fun pictures to remember this day.  And I am sure she is going to take more this weekend when I turn 5 months old......

Vacation Photos

First plane ride!  Sydney did a fantastic job on the plane.
We've attached just a few of the pictures to give a brief overview of our very busy trip to Orlando, FL.  It was a crazy few days and we were happy to have missed the snow and cold weather in Maryland.
These pictures are in no particular order since it takes me awhile to download but we wanted to share a few highlights.

Here is Sydney modeling her Minnie Mouse onesie and sweatshirt.  We were on our best behavior and didn't buy out the stores.  But yes, we were THAT family...Jason had t-shirts made at Downtown Disney:  Sydney's was pink with her name on it and a picture of the castle with Disney characters and ours said "Sydney's mommy" & "Sydney's daddy".  Only at Disney World can you get away with wearing something like that; but there's no place like home!

Sydney loves her "First visit" button and was all smiles throughout
the trip.  She has no choice but to love Disney as much as her
parents so we were delighted that she enjoyed herself on her first real vacation and we can't wait to do this again (although not for a couple of years!!!)

Walt Disney World!!!
Magic Kingdom photos and highlights:  We had a beautiful day and got to take Sydney on favorite rides such as It's A Small World, Flight of Peter Pan, Adventures of Pooh and Snow White.  Of course most of the day was spend meeting characters such as Daisy Duck (who is very hard to find), Peter Pan and the Princesses.

Animal Kingdom: Since we aren't going to make it to Africa anytime soon, a day at Animal Kingdom is about as close as we are going to get.  We did take Sydney on the Safari ride and she enjoyed the Festival of the Lion King show and Finding Nemo Musical.  I got to go on my Everest roller coaster and Jason went on Dinosaur.  Add in a few character visits and it was a perfect day!

Epcot:  It was a little cold (OK--i can't complain since it was snowing back home!) but we sure enjoyed our day at Epcot.  Jason and I rode test track then took Sydney to the Living Seas (where we talked about Aunt Beth and her fun experience here!), the Land, and World of Imagination plus had some time with the characters before heading through the World Showcases of the various countries.

Breakfast at Chef Mickey's:  We enjoyed a yummy brunch and got to introduce Sydney to all our favorites: Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Pluto! (Yes, we were all wearing our matching shirts and looking super cheesy!)

Swimming for the first time!  Sydney looked super cute in her new bathing suit.  At first she didn't like the pool but started to warm up to it.  We are taking her for swim lessons starting in April and hope to enjoy lots of time at the pool this summer.

Sea World was a lot of fun and Sydney loved the shows.  We had perfect weather for this day and enjoyed some Florida sunshine.

No trip to Disney would be complete without shopping at Downtown Disney and we really made the most out of our trip.  There are over 500 photos but hope you've enjoyed some of these highlights.
