fun fall pictures

It is fall and the weather is cooling off. Last year at this time i was getting ready to make my appearance and change the lives of my parents forever. In just a few days I am going to celebrate my first birthday and i understand there will lots of fun parties. Mommy is already getting weepy about my first birthday...What a year it has been!

Daddy says we can go get some pumpkins after we move but i had to check them out. I'm going to be a ladybug for halloween (i barely remember last year since i was just a couple of weeks old but i was a tootsie roll--especially picked out for poppie). hope mommy has the camera battery charged!!?! Lots of picture taking coming up!!!
One of my favorite things to play with is the phone. Not the play one but the real thing. I pick it up and say "hi dada" and mommy laughs. although sometimes i confuse the remote control and do the same thing. but i love pressing the buttons and "talking" on the phone. hope my parents have a good long distance plan!

I love spending time with my Aunt Beth and Cousin Lindsay. I just woke up from a nap in this picture and mommy insisted on taking yet another picture but believe it or not, i was excited about my music class and was moving around the room, clapping and singing with the musicians.

Do you like my new pajamas?! My friend Izzy got them for me from Wyoming and I love them. I do look pretty cute in the little hat if i do say so myself...

I'm enjoying this beautiful fall weather and like hanging outside in the grass playing with my toys. So many wonderful things happening and I'm loving everything. I'm busy talking all the time and my parents are even starting to understand some of the things i am saying. mostly i mimic words but have said turtle, green, diaper, cat and mama to name a few.

Our new house!

We are moving! This is definitely going to be a busy month. Lots of things to celebrate including our new home and my first birthday. But don't worry--we are not moving too far. My parents just decided it was time to move into a bigger house (5 bedrooms!) and more space.

There is a playground right in our backyard! Ok, it is not just mine but I can use it whenever I want. Here I am checking it out just to make sure I like it--I approve!

More pictures to come...

Trip to Norfolk

We went to Norfolk to see Nanny and Grandpa for Yom Kippur. My parents are so impressed and say I am a good traveler. I had a great weekend!

Who is this adorabe kid in the picture??? I love looking at the cute kid : ) I see her all the time in the mirror but I just couldn't stop admiring this wonderful photo.

Back at home, I'm spending some time hanging out at Kidville. Kidville is this amazing place in Rockville where I am taking some fun classes. I am sure you will see more pictures of me but mommy took a cute one of me at my gym class--i love the parachute and trampoline!

And I love to read books and play with all my toys. My parents think I look so grown up.

L'Shana Tova

This was my first Rosh Hashana--the Jewish new year. I want to wish everyone a new year filled with joy and happiness. I wasn't around last year but my parents said that last year was the best year ever and it just keeps getting better and better so I'm looking forward to lots of fun things ahead with my family and friends.

It took me quite awhile but I am finally picking up food and putting it in my mouth. Mommy thought she was going to have to feed me until i was 12...but one day I decided to do it myself. Still don't have any teeth but I'm having fun playing and eating all these new foods.

Been doing all sorts of fun things this week including a new music and gym class, shopping with my cousins, playgroups, etc. Mom and dad are busy packing up boxes for my new house. Lots of things happening over the next few weeks... we are settling on our town house next week and on our new place the middle of October. This move is keeping all of us busy!

Sydney goes shopping

Sydney loves playing with her little grocery cart and looks so adorable using it. Watch out--she already knows how to use the credit card and wants to go shopping with Daddy!!!

don't be sad grandpa & poppie

Mommy says she is sorry for posting those pictures of me crying. I don't cry too often so she thought those pictures were hilarious and she says I am a drama queen sometimes. But my Grandpa and Poppie especially don't like to see me upset.

So no worries...I am a happy little girl who may or may not be getting teeth who sometimes does not want to take a nap even though my parents say I have to and I probably won't like to eat my vegetables when I am older just like my daddy and I most definitely will want to do things my way...so I might just cry sometimes because I can : ) (and it helps me get what I want!!!)

Love,
Silly Sydney

Happy Birthday!!! To mommy : ) & 11 months for Sydney

Today is September 14th and I am 11 months old! Oh yeah, and its my mommy's birthday. I've been very busy today and mommy wanted to share a couple of fun photos. She loved the one of me crying...guess she wanted all of you to know I do cry sometimes...not often but mommy thinks my teeth might be coming in (whatever those are...). I'm getting so big and seem to be getting into all kinds of trouble. When daddy and mommy aren't looking I like to crawl up the stairs. I'm getting pretty fast...

What do you mean I have to wait another month for cupcakes??? Maybe that's why I'm crying in this picture? Either that or I didn't want to take a nap which I finally did. Anyways, Aunt Beth made cupcakes today which was so nice. I can't wait until October 14th for MY 1st birthday. That's coming up SOON!

Guess where we went to dinner to celebrate?? hmmmm....must be the Cheesecake Factory--mommy's favorite! Only 1 more month until MY big day!!!

In other Martin family news........we sold our townhouse (while we were on our cruise) and have been VERY busy looking for a new place to live. My parents have dragged me around to over 2 dozen new houses and we hope to have some news real soon. So keep your fingers crossed and we'll let you know!
