CFA is over

Way to go Daddy! Daddy took his big exam (CFA Level 3!!!) this weekend and we are SO glad to finally have him back. No more studying!!! Mommy and I are so proud of him. He has dedicated so much time to this and worked really hard. I think I have just a couple more years before daddy starts teaching me all about finance (and asset management, portfolio reviews, retirement planning....he thinks I wasn't paying attention when he read his review books to me but I always listen to daddy!)

Swim lessons have been so much fun but they ended this week. Good thing the neighborhood pool opened so I can keep swimming. My favorite position is the back float. I got my first report card: check plus in everything! I bet there will be many more pictures of me swimming!!!

OK-we've been keeping very busy this month and with the new camera i have not figure out how to download all the photos so i'll have to work on that. yup-a good excuse for my laziness.

One of the things we did over the past few weeks was to attend a "Mom's Do Lunch" activity with a seminar and yes, you guessed it, a professional photo shoot. I am a complete sucker for pictures of Sydney and this was a little different. they sent us mocked up images of our kids on the cover of the magazine. ISo check out our little model:

First Haircut & Zach's birthday party

Happy 2nd Birthday Cousin Zach! Sydney attended her first birthday party at Romp-n-roll and had a blast! It was fun to hang out with cousin Lindsay and Grandma. Sydney had fun playing with all the toys and can't wait to go back when she is a little bigger.

Happy Mother's Day!!!

What a wonderful day!!! Mother's Day 2009 was a great celebration of family and moms and it was the perfect day. We enjoyed a delicious brunch at Avenel and Sydney got to celebrate with the immediate family: both sets of grandparents, the 2 great-grandma's and Aunt Beth & family.

Dad's day is coming up next month, but Sydney enjoyed hanging out with the guys in her life...

Daddy is so proud: Sydney loved playing with the golf club (Jason wants her to start lessons when she is 4!) and also wanted to drive Poppie's car.

It truly was a great day and I loved being with my sister and our little girls.

Swim class, hanging with friends and more!

It's been a busy couple of weeks. Last weekend we had a leak in our ceiling (from my bathtub!) and it caused a lot of damage (interesting how a small thing can make such a huge mess...hmmmm....). We had 2 dryers, a dehumidifier, 3 visits from repair men, one huge hole with a big bag of drywall, wet hard wood floors with water damage and a ceiling that now needs to be patched and repainted-this is when mommy and daddy are thankful for homeowners insurance!!

With all that money spent on repairs and fixing stuff, i don't think daddy appreciates my new favorite toy: his credit card!!! I sure am smart and was practicing my swiping motion--i think i'm ready to test it out!!!

I went to my first swim class and both mommy and daddy took me in the water. They even had to dunk me under water. I cried a little but they said I did a great job in the water. This place was so cool--it has water slides and fountains and I'm going to have fun playing in the pool. Since both mom and dad were in the water with me there are no embarrasing photos.

In addition to that fun stuff, I had a lot going on. Playgroup with my friends was fun and we tried to get a picture with all the babies--but all i wanted to do was eat so mommy had to give me a bottle so i wouldn't scream : )

And because it was so nice, I went for a walk and got to visit with my friends Mary and Anna.

Here I am hanging out with my FAVORITE Aunt!!! (OK-so I only have one Aunt but she is great and I love spending time with her and my cousins!!!). I wore my special "My Auntie Loves Me" shirt cause I know she does--and I love her too.

And last, I wanted to wish a very Happy 38th Anniversary to Grandma and Poppie!!!

Spring Fever

I'm ready for some REAL food. Mom and dad are making me eat vegetables. First one: carrots.






I'm so hungry I can eat my high chair. When are they going to feed me??!!







OK--I am liking this! These carrots are yummy and they are daddy's favorite color-orange! Believe it or not, most of the carrots did actually get in my mouth despite how it looks here. Orange does work for me...

It was a beautiful spring day and I had fun at the park. Here I am enjoying the swings-wheeeee!













We went out to dinner and I like to grab at my parents food. When do I get to try french fries?!!?!







After a busy day it was nice to hang out and walk around the lake--it'll be nice to have more days like this as spring and summer are almost here for good.

Happy Half Birthday!

I am 6 months old!!! I just celebrated my half birthday (thank you daddy for the Toys R Us gift card-I can't wait to go shopping!) and even celebrated with a cake (but I can't eat cake until my first birthday). I went to the Doctor last week and had my check up (I'm 13 pounds 12 ounces and 25 inches). They had to give me shots which I didn't like but said I'm doing great so mommy and daddy were happy. I've started eating oatmeal which I like and will start with vegetables and fruits this week!

I'm sitting up on my own like a big girl and love playing with my toys. Mommy thinks I am going to be a pianist-I love playing the piano!

Mommy snapped a couple of pictures during bath time and I sure have fun in the bath with all my toys! Please no more naked pictures mom!

My cousins from California came to visit! I was so happy to meet Cousin Shari, Megan and David and spend time with them.
